Security Innovation Center Cybersecurity and Privacy Advisors
Dr. Earl Crane is a cybersecurity executive and trusted advisor to public and private sector organizations, helping them to manage their strategy, risk and cybersecurity programs. He is a prominent cybersecurity veteran, having worked at early security startups, the White House, fortune 100s, the financial sector, and co-founded Emergynt, a digital risk management platform based on his PhD research. He holds a Ph.D. from George Washington University, a Masters of information system management and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Pat Osborne is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional with over 30 years in the IT field. He is the Principal – Executive Consultant at Outhaul Consulting, LLC, and a cybersecurity advisor for the Security Innovation Center. He has experience in industry sectors including SaaS providers, banking, government, and transportation. Previously, Pat served as Senior VP of Information Technology for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) for 15 years. He was also Chief Information Officer for Daon Trusted Identity Services for six years. As a certified ISO 27001 professional and an ISO certified Lead Auditor, Pat has provided security and compliance consulting services for multiple standards, including ISO, HIPAA and NIST, to organizations over the past five years. Pat is also an Adjunct Professor at United States Naval Academy teaching security courses.
Paul Paget is a cybersecurity advisor for the Security Innovation Center. Paget has more than 30 of years of leadership in technology companies ranging from startups to Fortune 50s. Most recently, Paget served as CEO of Pwnie Express, an Internet of Things (IoT) security platform vendor. In addition, Paget also was CEO of Savant Protection, an innovator in protecting infrastructure and industrial control systems and President and CEO of Core Security Technologies, where he successfully built the company into the leader in automated penetration testing.
Tim Sparapani has been at the forefront of emerging technology policy issues. He was the first director of public policy at Facebook and has also served as the vice president of policy, law and government affairs for the Applications Developers Alliance. In addition, Sparapani also was senior legislative counsel at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), where he helped advance the constitutional principle of the right to privacy, representing the ACLU before Congress, the Executive Branch and the media. Tim is currently the founder and principal of SPQR Strategies.
